Music of Vesna

Vesna presents twelve original compositions inspired by Slavic goddesses, four seasons and traditional life style. It fuses Wallachian folklore with world music, classical music and jazz. The band has 8 members: Patricie Fuxova (lead vocals), Andrea Sulcova (flute), Tanita Yankova (piano), Bara Sustkova (violin), Josef Mikulka (double bass), Oliver Lipensky (drums), Vladimir Miklas (dulcimer) and Jan Pospisil (clarinet). Vesna is led by a Berklee alumni and Struny podzimu scholarship award singer and composer Patricie Fuxova. The arrangements are written by Czech orchestrator Dominik Svoboda.

Morana is a Slavic Goddess of winter and death. She is the Goddess of wind and has the power of winter torment. The music video tells a story about a girl who once loved a man. She could't face his loss and turned into a fierce Goddess with heart cold as stone.
